Walking with the Dinosaurs!
In other news, some of you know that Jeff and I are "political junkies." We went to our Senatorial District convention last weekend and I got elected as a delegate and Jeff and alternate delegate to the State Convention held in Houston in June. At the convention we were invited to a coffee with one of the local candidates for DA. We went yesterday morning and ended up on the 10 PM news on Channel 11! I know, we're famous! Don't be jealous! Keep an eye out for us!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JEFF!

Busy, Busy!
Sorry for the delay in posting. We have been very busy lately. Jeff finished working his 80 hour work weeks for year end at the end of February and we are enjoying seeing each more again. I interviewed for a different position at DePelchin a couple weeks ago (see professional Becca pics). I am hoping to get this position because the focus is more therapeutic than case management. I am burnt out, make that fried on case management right now. I also think getting out of foster care would be a good move for me. This job would also allow me to begin pursuing a LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), which takes two years. Please, pray that God would open this door for me and my career.
Last weekend we hosted a couple's shower with two other couples (Wendy and Jonathan and Lee and Ella) for our dear friends, Erik and Amy. We know these couple's from the Singles Ministry at Church and now we are all in the same Newlywed or Close Sunday School Class. Amy and Erik will be married Easter Weekend. The pictures of the shower are on the slide show as well. The "shrine" was pictures of them we gave as party favors, but it kind of does look like a shrine. We also played a game where Erik had to pick Amy's hand out from all the other choices while blind folded. He figured out our trick of trying to fool him with a guy's hand!
The last pictures in the slide show are of our new favorite thing, Super Suppers! We have had two of the meals now and are sold! They are pre-prepared, but not yet cooked entries that take less time to make because the prep. work is done! Not bad for $10.50 for 3-4 servings. YAY for making life easier and reducing marital discord! Check out their website: http://www.supersuppers.com/. Another plug for them...at my location on Woodway the lady was "super" nice and also there was Christian music playing.
We are going to post pictures soon of this weekend. We are on "Sabbatical". So far, I love it. We slept in, grilled out, and are hanging at the house. We are also graduating from our Sunday School Class, the NWC class this Sunday :( We will post all these things soon. Stay tuned!

Solo Dallas Trip
I went to Dallas this weekend, while Jeff stayed home to work and relax a bit. I planned this trip a week before my life long friend, Katie had her first child, Caleb Hinson Herweck. He is a cutie!! I saw pictures of him before my trip, but was so happy to be able to visit him in person on Saturday. Katie, Caleb, our friend Lauren and I spent the day together at Katie's house. We ate some of the wonderful food that church members had brought them, watched Legally Blond, and enjoyed each other's company. Lauren and I got a snapshot into the life of a new mom. It was a lot of fun! Caleb is a wonderful blessing and so sweet!
On Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday I spent time with my sister, Sarah, my nephew, Clayton and brother in law, Wade. I was sad because I got to their house after Clayton had gone to sleep Friday night so I had to wait until Saturday to see him. But, Wade, Sarah, and I had fun playing with Wade's new Weii. We played Tennis, bowling, golf and baseball. I got addicted and actually had to pry myself away to head home on Sunday afternoon. Clayton kept me busy playing with him during all available wakeing hours. That boy has a lot of energy and is so much fun! We flew to the "moon" and "New York." In his rocket ship. He sang me a song about the Little Einsteins riding in a rocket ship, fed me "space corn" (popcorn) and "space juice". It was hard to get in and out of the rocket, especially when Clayton filled it with his "guys" (stuffed animals) and other various items from his room. He couldn't get enough of the rocket ship and I played along. We had a "blast"!
All in all I enjoyed my trip! It was the first time Jeff and I had been apart since we got married, so I was glad to see him Sunday night for our own personal Super Bowl Party. Our friends were having a party, but Jeff decided to stay home and wait for me to come home. He ordered a pizza, got chips and dip, and was camped out on the couch when I got home.
